Rango is about a pet chameleon who has lived his entire life in the confines of a cozy glass terrarium. Rango discovers adventure beyond his wildest imagination in this animated Western adventure.

I am a big fan of Johnny Depp. So I could not wait to watch this movie. Well, it was so boring that I fell asleep about half way through the movie. I tried re-watching the movie from the point I fell asleep and found it so boring that I couldn’t finish it. I returned the movie to the rental store I checked it out from. Normally, I can watch the entire movie even if it is not very entertaining but this movie is not the case for me. I am not a big fan of westerns so I guess that may be why I didn’t find it worth watching.

Zookeeper

ZookeeperZookeeper is rated PG and is 102 minutes long. The main character is Kevin James who plays Griffin Keyes a zoo keeper. Cher is the voice for Janet the Lioness and Sylvester Stallone is the voice for Joe the Lion.

I liked the movie and found it pretty funny in places. I guess for me I found the movie a little disappointing when the animals talked. One of the more funny parts of the movie is when Griffin took Bernie the Gorilla out to eat and then for an evening of fun. The waitresses reaction to Bernie ordering a bunch of oranges and talking was pretty funny. It was also pretty funny when Bernie realized he won a girls heart during a dance at the restaurant yet Griffin seems to have trouble finding a girlfriend at all. Maybe it was Bernie’s animal magnetism that gave him the edge. I think this movie is geared more for a family or kids in general.

Season of The Witch

Season of The WitchNicholas Gage is the main actor in this movie. The movie is rated PG13 and is 95 minutes long. I really enjoy watching movies with Nicholas Gage as the main actor. He is one of my most favorite actors.

Season of The Witch is a supernatural thriller about a noble knight who battles a wicked witch in a bid to save humanity from an ancient evil. I found it interesting that the church believed a woman to be a witch and that she was responsible for the black plague.

The movie is about Nicholas’ determination that the young woman accused of being a witch and cause of the black plaque receives a fair trail and their hardships along the way. I really liked the scene where the suspension bridge collapses right after they cross the canyon. It was kind of nerve racking but exciting. I really enjoyed watching this movie because the graphics were well done, the scenery was great and the story line really kept my attention all the way through to the end of the movie. I would recommend watching this movie.

Sheepless In Seattle

Sheepless In SeattleOne of my fabric quilt shops happened to have a booth at a quilt show. They had a lot of cool fabrics. A quilt kit grabbed my attention. The sheep fabric is so cute! The quilt kit is called Sheepless In Seattle. I could not leave the quilt show without this quilt kit. This is a nice size lap quilt. I used yellow flannel for the backing. Aren’t those sheep just the cutest things you have ever seen.

So when I have trouble going to sleep at night, I can count sheep! I used this pattern to make the 2nd Halloween quilt.

Halloween Quilt #2I love Halloween and all the fun fabric that is available. The fabric in this quilt was given to me by a friend that enjoys making quilts too. When we were at a local quilt show she saw the fabric and couldn’t resist getting it for me. She how much I loved Halloween fabric. All my quilting friends tease me about how much I love Halloween fabric. It is kinda funny at times how much Halloween fabric I have purchased.

The stars near the bats and pumpkin faces glow in the dark. That is so cool! Unfortunately, they do not glow that much to keep me awake at night. Darn, that would be cool if they did. I used Halloween fabric with dogs and cats for the backing. This pattern is pretty quick and easy to make.

Sense of Peace Tea

 

This white tea has a wonderful blend of Indian white tea, Egyptian Mint and rose petals. The rose petals add a unique flavor yet it is not over powering. I love the mint flavor. The aroma from a freshly brewed cup of this tea is very minty yet not over powering. It is very calming and soothing. This white tea is the first one I have tried and I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to trying other white teas.

I think it would be nice to have a cup of this tea around for the holidays because of the wonderful fragrance of mint.

Heidi

Actors — Emma Bolger as Heidi, Max von Sydow as Uncle Alp, Sam Friend as Peter and Jessica Claridge as Clara. Aired on August 19, 2005 and is 104 minutes long.

The scenery in the movie is very beautiful. I love the mountains where Heidi and her grandfather live. The scenery makes me want to go there because it reminds me of the Swiss Alps.

Heidi is such a sweet innocent girl that is full of life and love not only for her grandfather but for others around her as well. I enjoyed the scene when someone from a church in town delivered kittens to Heidi at her new home with Clara. The new kittens along with Heidi created a lot of excitement in the house that obviously no one had seen or experienced in quite awhile. Heidi sure had a way of making everyone love her. She sure enjoyed the simple things in life such as home, friends and family on the mountain side instead of a more formal lifestyle in town. She truly missed the mountains and her grandfather.

Sometimes, I joke with friends that I could be related to Heidi since I really love a very good cheese and fresh hot bread right out of the oven. Just thinking about it makes me want some. I would highly recommend watching this movie with your family.

Blood Orange Tea by Adagio Teas

I purchased the 16 oz IngenuiTEA tea pot with a 4 tea sampler set containing Blood Orange tea, Chamomile tea, Peppermint tea and Rooibos Vanilla tea.

I tried the Blood Orange tea first. I love the orange scent. This tea is definitely fruity and has a deep vibrant color with a sweet, tangy flavor. It is caffeine-free and has an interesting blend of blood orange peels, hibiscus flowers and rose hips. I enjoy fruity teas, but I find I have to be in the mood to brew a cup of a fruit flavored tea.

I love the tea pot. It is very easy to use. I filled it with water, placed it in the microwave for a few minutes and then placed 2 heaping teaspoons of the blood orange tea in to brew. Once the tea had brewed for a few minutes I sat the teapot on the top of a mug and it filled my mug for me. How easy is that! I didn’t even create a mess because I didn’t pour the tea at the correct angle. The teapot is easy to clean too. The only slight disadvantage is the bottom of the tea pot fits over the smaller mug openings. Mugs with larger openings will not work with the dispensing mechanisms of the IngenuiTEA tea pot.

Outer Space Quilt

Outer Space QuiltEver since I watched the astronauts walk on the moon I have become interested in outer space and planets. When I was a kid I wanted to walk on the moon. I really enjoy watching the documentaries on The Discovery Channel regarding outer space and planets. There are some really beautiful pictures of outer space. It is amazing what the scientists can see through the telescopes.

One day at a local quilt shop I found a panel that featured planets, astronauts and the Space Shuttle. I added star fabric around each featured planet block. I made paper pieced stars using a light blue fairy frost fabric. The stars were easy to make and look really cool.
